Can you collect unemployment?
As far as getting another job, one you can work from home... I know ebay sometimes hires people to sell stuff for them. You can check out the career section of the website (www.ebay.com)
You can also check the newspapers and craigslist (www.craigslist.com) to see if anyone has a data-entry position available. Sometimes you can do that from home.

Sorry to hear about your situation. If you are willing to go back to work, try using the internet as a resource...
Have you posted a resume on monster.com?
Also, try craigslist (www.craigslist.com). You'll find lots of job in your state/city on craigslist, it has been helpful when I've needed employment and you can also post your resume/ask for potential employment there.

Shut off your cellphone. Get a prepay if absolutely necessary. Or try to change your plan so the payments are lower.
Try to walk or take public transportation if you can. It's usually a lot cheaper anyway because of the price of gas these days.
I too have student loans that need to be paid back. I work 2 jobs myself, most likely going to be 3 soon. Just do the best you can, try as hard as you can, and someone will help you.

It sounds like you've atleast got some friends who are willing to let you stay with them. Can I ask where you're at now, if not with a friend?

How I know what it feels like to need medical care but not being able to afford it... I went through most of my teen life with no health insurance, and I've got a chronic illness (I'll have it my whole life), which requires me to take 12 pills a day.
Go to a doctor and tell them your financial situation. Or call. Most places are willing to work with you to get you care. When I was younger, they used to give me samples of my medication because I could not afford to pay out of pocket for my necessary medications. They also have a lot of prescription programs now, so if you can get checked out and they prescribe something to you, you might be able to get it for free or reduced prices. Take care of yourself, and don't be afraid to ask. You would be surprised at where you can find help.

My day wasn't that great, either. It's been raining like crazy here, I hate the cold damp weather. I did get a day off for once, so I've been sewing together an outfit to keep myself busy. You are a disgrace to this website, and it's unfortunate that there are people like you out there who are willing to dangle that little bit of hope infront of someone, only to kick them that much further to the ground for your own personal gain.

The Person: I'm not really sure what to put here. I guess, well, I should start by saying I'm a young 22 year old. I grew up with next to nothing, but I had a wonderful mother who loved her children enough to raise them right. I'm thankful for all of the things God has given me in life and I always hope for the best in situations. I'm loyal, caring, and honest. I'm not really a typical 22 year old. Most of my life is spent working, trying to pay the bills, and worrying about my hubby who is in the army. If I ever get any free time, I like to spend it reading a book or playing a video game. I also enjoy anime and roleplaying games. My second job is working for the local video game store. It would be my dream job, if only it paid more than minimum wage! I guess you could say I was pretty nerdy! But I'm proud of who I am. A lot of people tell me I don't look like the type that would be into all of those things, but I assure you, I'm a legitimate dork. I look forward to meeting others who have similar interest. I do not judge, as I do not like to be judged. I accept everyone. I hope others will accept me.
The Problem: As far as my situation, as I've stated before I've been having a rough time keeping up with the bills due to my man being gone. I've got a 14,000 dollar loan which needs to be paid back and money has just been really tight since he left. I'm not asking for someone to pay the loan for me, but I am asking for a little help....Donations in any amount. I realize that's a lot to ask since it isn't easy to trust people, especially people online, these days. I figured I would try anyway and hope that there are people out there generous and caring enough to help, as I would do for someone in need. If you can help me, feel free to message me (or even if you would just like to talk and be friends!).

For Others: For those seeking money themselves. I haven't had much luck with this, but there is a website that will pay you .02 to just read advertisements online. This can be a lengthy and tedious project (one I don't particularly have time for, since I work), but it may help someone who's looking to make a little extra pocket change or something. Like I said, I haven't had luck... but for anyone who is maybe paralyzed or has the free time, it could help slightly.
For those who need help with prescriptions. There is a wonderful site that offers 3-month supplies of (mostly generic) common presciptions for costs as low as 20 dollars, up to $40. It does ask that you meet the criteria for the program (information about that is on the website). This has been great for my "controlled substance" medications in the past. No tax forms are required and the application is very simple and straight-forward.
Looking for free stuff?? Try craigslist in your state. You can find lots of helpful stuff here. From free items, to trade/barter, and employment. It's a very useful tool.
Though I am unable to give out money currently, I would love to help others in any way I can. If you need someone to talk to, advice, a friend. I'd love to donate clothing and other items to families in need. I've done the "Goodwill" thing before, but I always had an issue with donating my stuff to a company which profits from it! I would rather know that my items are going to someone who truly needs it, who doesn't have to pay. Not that Goodwill is a bad thing, I would just rather help an individual rather than a corperation.

That's horrible. I've had a few people contact me saying they'd like to donate money. Fortunately, none of them want any information other than my name and address, which doesn't bother me too much because I mean, you can find that in the phone book anyway. Red flags start going up for me when they ask for other personal information, like my social security and such. All things I know not to give out.
I'd unfortunate that there are people out there who are cruel enough to take advantage of someone in need...
But I guess that's life. Have faith, there are people out there who really do want to help.

Well, when my father had cheated on my mother and walked out the door on her, taking all the money..
She ended up having to get 3 jobs to support not 1, but 4 children. Depending on how old your child is, you might have to work in a less-than-desirable place just to get by.
$700 dollars a month for one child? We didn't even get that for the 4 of us when I was growing up.
You can also ask the food pantry at your local church if you are in need of food. Try craigslist in your state for other items you may need (www.craigslist.com). They have a "free" section.
Your business idea sounds great, but for the moment you may want to focus on getting stable and piece-meal it. After all, you are a parent first.

Don't worry about having to get free clothes for your kids. I grew up having to wear hand-me-downs/yard-sale, etc. As long as you try your hardest for your children, you should not feel bad. Everyone needs help every now and then.
